White tail deer at bird feeder outside Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

White tail deer at bird feeder outside Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Tube. Duration : 1.75 Mins.

Depending on who you are, and where you are, white tail deer provide distraction, danger, huge expense, for some a meal, and for some, simple, awe filled pleasure in watching these graceful wild creatures as they go about their lives. Outside of Ottawa, www.all-about-ottawa.com , whitetail deer abound. Ottawa is blessed, by the forethought of the City politicians of years ago, to be encompassed by a green belt. This means that herds of whitetails live within the greater boundaries of the city. Chances are you will see deer at the edges of the fields and woodlots early in the am and evening. So many deer abound in the greater Ottawa area that a person had best be even more alert when driving the highways near and around Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Whitetails don't obey traffic laws! They will wander out into the road at their own discretion. I fight whitetails in my veggie garden all summer long, yet every winter, I invite these wondrous animals to my backyard by putting out feed, carrot and apple peels, in fact, whatever I think might bring them in close. Heck, I can grow extra carrots and peas, so I will share. On a cold winters eve, the white tail deer warm our hearts and bring enormous pleasure as we watch their antics, chasing each other and the late feeding blue jays from the birdseed, sunflower seed, and cracked corn that we put out regularly for the birds and critters around our suburban home. More Ottawa animals can be seen here www.all-about-ottawa.com .
