Wild Bird Feeders

I put a bird feed station in the garden about 3 weeks ago and only got sparrows and pigeons with the feed i bought ,someone suggested trying niger seeds ,they are supposed to be great for attracting gold finches, I bought some and had it in the garden for two days and surely enough Ive had two goldfinches already,Im going to try something else in another feeder for different species.I have peanuts in one and a mixture of seeds in another.I also have suet and the starlings love them. So far sparrows, colar doves,wood pigeons and the goldfinches.
